Overview
Kira is designed with privacy in mind. We clearly distinguish between local processing (on your device) and cloud processing (via AI models).
Video Processing
Local effects (avatars, tracking, custom code) process entirely in your browser using WebGL and on-device AI models. Your video never leaves your device. Cloud AI effects (style transfer, face swap) send video frames to AI model providers for processing. We clearly label which effects are local vs cloud.
Data Collection
Kira does not collect personal information. We do not require account creation for basic features, and we do not track your video content. The extension and app store your preferences locally.
Analytics
We may collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics to improve the platform. This data does not include any personally identifiable information or video content.
Third-Party Services
Kira loads assets (avatars, effects, AI models) from our servers and partner services. Cloud AI effects are processed by our AI model partners. These services have their own privacy policies.
